I’ve had the pleasure and the challenge of both creating and facilitating drama and screenwriting programs for youth, my first experience in 2004.
After volunteering to work on a documentary showcasing media literacy in Hillsboro, NH - I came away from that experience inspired by the teens at the Project Genesis center, and wanted to contribute to their ability to have a creative space. From that idea, CAST (Community Arts as a Stage for Teens) was born.
CAST was a fledgling idea, with a lot of promise and inspiration from the youth involved. We met weekly, discussed acting, screenwriting, had a writer’s group, and it was fueled by youth advisors.

This past summer of 2011 I connected with Jayne Morell and Seacoast Specialty Camps and had an opportunity to run a screenwriting camp with a group of dedicated middle and high schoolers.
Encouraging creativity and fostering artistic talent in youth has become a passion of mine, and it is always enjoyable to see and hear the ideas that teens come up with.
I will be working with Seacoast Specialty Camps in current and future programs, tailoring them to venues as needed.
